I hear this a lot.
"I'll book a shoot as soon as I lose some weight"
"I'll have the courage once I have my 'beach body' back"
"When I'm done losing weight, I'll do it..."
To me, this translates to: Just as soon as I change myself, I'll love myself more...
Can you see now why the health, fitness and beauty industries do SO WELL? It's because we were taught to believe that we need these industries to change ourselves in order to be more loveable - for ourselves or for others.
I'm here to tell you, quite frankly, that's bullshit.
You are perfect, worthy, enough, loveable, loved, supported and intentionally created exactly as you are.
I've got qualms...
First, why are you waiting? What if you don't lose weight, or you end up gaining weight? Life screws up our plans all the time - and more often than not, waiting for the perfect time means waiting forever.
You and your body deserved to be loved and taken care of, exactly the way you look right now. Our bodies are constantly changing and it's impossible to keep up - but we can learn to celebrate, accept & embrace what we DO have, right here, right now.
I promise you, if you put some faith in me, you won't be disappointed in the way you feel & the way you look.
Plus, if you DO lose weight after your session -- you can always come back for another milestone session!
Why you DON'T need to lose weight for your session:
If you feel like you need to lose a few pounds, you’re probably lacking confidence and love of yourself (which, we all are, so don't feel bad!) . A boudoir session is the perfect way to embrace the skin you’re in.
Take Amanda for example, the thought of taking boudoir photos for her anniversary made her really nervous and wondering how it would go. But her mantra for 2021 was "Growth through discomfort" and we can all take a lesson from Amanda in diving head-first into our fears.
There is always, always, always something beautiful on the other side of your fears.
She was blown away with her gallery, gorgeous Premium Album that will last a lifetime, and the feelings of empowerment and love of self she felt during the entire experience with me.
During our session she said to me "Today is going to change the way my daughter loves herself."
...Aaaaaand cue the waterworks that I held onto until the day was done. Once everyone left, I let myself feel all of the gratitude and profound impact that I'm able to have on women and their self-esteem through the Bedhead Experience.
I could not be more thankful, happy and humble to deliver this experience & these feelings to you.
Look at the beautiful Katherine. She didn't believe she was "model material" but she put her faith in me and I was able to show her that her and every single woman out there is just as beautiful no matter what your size, shape, colour, etc.
Here's what she said about the experience:
I'm not going to lie, I was super nervous. When you think of boudoir you think of beautifully toned bodies, model type faces - I'm not who you would "imagine" as a boudoir model... but who is? Because I f**king rocked it!!!
For the first time in a long time, I put my insecurities aside, looked in the mirror & felt completely transformed. I felt so confident and gorgeous. After seeing the photos, all I can think of is "Wow, I am so beautiful."
I'm so glad I made this leap outside of my comfort zone to do this photoshoot and I'm so happy I found Krysten and that we instantly connected. It's awkward to be in lingerie in front of strangers - but she made it so easy and made me feel comfortable the entire time.
I feel gorgeous and I've been on such a high since I left the shoot, I can't even describe it... I may not be the same size as I was when I met [my partner] but damn, this mama of 2 still has it.
This is something I'll remember and treasure for a lifetime when I'm older. I can look back and say "Katherine, you were a real bad bitch back in the day and we have photos to prove it.

You can have confidence in me
Even if you’re struggling to find confidence in yourself, you can have confidence in me.
